Patrice Ricord

After a little contemplation, I have decided that most works that utilize darker angular lines, cross hatching, etc., tend to be more like a musical score set in a minor key. Dark and thick drawings are unlike the thinly shaded, whimsical sketches that tend to give one a more uplifting feeling when viewing. For example, the caricatures of Jacques Chirac by Patrice Ricord 1997, uses many intersecting lines, heavily shaded areas and a depressed looking subject to convey darker emotions and feelings.
